MCHS Theater Sponsors

Supporting the Arts
Arts programs are typically the first programs cut in tightening school budgets, yet they are a recognized benefit to cognitive learning skills.
The arts foster students’ abilities to develop problem solving skills, flexibility, creativity, cooperative approaches, persistence, and responsibility as well as oral and written language skills. Studies have shown that involvement in the arts helps students increase their test scores and promotes all-around academic achievement.
As budgets continue to decrease it becomes more challenging to put together theater performances. It costs money to purchase the play rights, costumes, set designs, etc. Even with our dedicated volunteers, boosters and support from the school system, we couldn’t do it without or wonderful community sponsors.
