MCHS Theater Events
The MCHS Theater department holds several events each year to help raise money for the theater department and to award and recognize its students and supporting parents. Most of these events are held within the community such as trade booths at the Chautauqua and Chili, Stew and Brew. We also reach out to the community through children’s programs, workshops and various other activities.

Our Paparazzi
At the end of every school year, the MCHS Theater department celebrates its students’ and theater crews’ hard work and dedication through an awards banquet called “The Cubbies.” Students put together their own short performances and poke fun at theater parents and teachers. (Some of the Theater Boosters and parents have also been known to put on a performance or two as well.) Top student performers from the year are given awards similar to the famous “Oscar” award and the entire event is publicized through various local media.
Theater Trips
The MCHS Theater Department sponsors an annual spring trip break for students, parents and teachers. The department selects the trip and sets up the travel details; however, each participant raises his/her own money to travel. The MCHS Theater group has been to some fun places such as New York City and Walt Disney World.
